Mangalore Bun


A banana (mashed)
3 tbsp sugar
60g curd
A pinch of salt
A pinch of nutmeg powder
6 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
Oil for frying
Mix first five ingredients & mix well.
Then add flour with baking powder & knead well.
Cover the bowl with a damp cloth & keep aside for 3 hours.
Take a marble sized ball & flatten it using a roller( 7cm discs).
Repeat the process with other dough balls.
Heat plenty of oil.
Gently slip the disc in hot oil.
When poori pops fully, splash hot oil on the top.
Turn over & fry the other side.
Remove using a slotted spoon & drain on a kitchen paper.
Ur sweet banana poori's are ready to serve !
