Virgin's Bower / Clematis recta

Virgin's BowerVirgin's bower / Clematis recta is another fragrant flower in my Mom's garden.  They used to sprawl over nearby plants & produce clusters of star shaped, heavily scented flowers. In Kerala it's called "bridal bouquet".

Keukenhof Tulip Garden : Pride of Holland

Keukenhof Tulip GardenKeukenhof - the most popular bulb garden in the world is located 40 km away from Amsterdam. Over 7 million flower bulbs are planted by hand in this park. This includes 4.5 million tulips, 35000 lillies, hyacinths, daffodils, narcissus & other spring bulbs. There are 2500 trees that gives shade to these spring flowers. Rice Rotti / Kai Pathiri - Malabar Muslim Special

Rice Rotti   Ingredients2 cups roasted rice powder 3 cups of water1 tsp fennel seeds1 tsp salt1 cup dessicated coconut / freshly grated coconut3 shallotsMethod Coarsely grind coconut, shallots & fennel seeds in a mini food processor.  Boil water . Add salt & blended mixture.Then add rice powder & mix with a wooden spatule .Remove from fire & close with a lid. Mahe Riverside Revamped / La nouveau visage de Mahe

Mahe Riverside RevampedA riverside pathway is constructed on the banks of Mahe river (Mayazhi river) . For the time being it starts from the Tagore Park to the Mahe bridge. The project is to construct  upto Mahe water complex ( Mahe Para). Walking along this pathway, one can admire Mahe river, its estuary & the beautiful  sunset !The  Mahe Bridge connects this ancient French colony to Tellicherry (former British colony).
