String Hoppers using Sweet Potato
Sweet Potato String Hoppers
Ingredients
1 cup mashed sweet potato
A pinch of salt
200 g rice powder
200 ml water
30 g butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
3 tbsp sugar
Method
Cook sweet potato, mash it & keep aside.
Boil water. Add butter,rice powder & sugar.
Stir with a wooden spatule & remove from fire.
Then add mashed sweet potato along with cinnamon powder.
Cover with a damp cloth & leave for a an hour.
Knead it into a smooth dough.
Grease the idiyappam mould & Idli maker.
Take a dough ball & press it.
Steam for about 10 min.
Serve with chocolate sauce / honey / maple syrup.
