Pastry Wrapped Salmon

1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Half of a Salmon filet (tail side)
A frozen puff pastry
An egg
4 carrots
2 green chillies
3 cloves of garlic
A piece of ginger
An onion (chopped)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
Coriander leaves/ Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Marinate fish with chilli , turmeric & salt.
Keep it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Blend carrots, chillies, garlic & ginger using a chopper & keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan & fry onions till light golden brown.
Then add chopped veggies along with salt & ketchup.
Add some water & cook for 10 min.
Garnish with coriander leaves & keep aside.
Pre- heat oven to 180°C.
Heat oil in a pan & shallow fry the marinated Salmon fillet..
Set aside to cool.
Roll out the puff pastry & spread the veggie mix.
Place the fillet  & top it with the veggie mix.
Using a knife,cut the pastry as in the photo.
Then cover the filet with the pastry carefully.
Cut off the excess & make the eyes & mouth of the fish.
Design the tail as well.
Leave in the refigerator for 20min.
Beat an egg with a tbsp of water & brush on the top.
Bake for 25 mn.
When golden brown, take out of the oven & keep aside to cool.
Cut in slices & serve.
