250 g kadiif ( shredded filo pastry)
125g butter(melted)
100g sugar
400ml milk
40g corn flour
30g butter (melted)
3 tbsp sugar
A pinch of saffron
** for syrup**
5 tbsp honey
2 tbsp water
Chopped Nuts / Pistachios

Make syrup using water & honey.
When it thickens, remove from fire & keep aside.
Mix corn flour, sugar, saffron & melted butter with milk.
Cook on a medim heat until the mixture is thick & creamy.

Thaw kadaif pastry & separate them.
Mix it with sugar & melted butter.
Divide the mixed kadaif in two.
Take one half the the kadiaf mixture & pat it onto a greased cake dish.
Then pour the prepared cream over it & spread with a spatule. 
 Then scatter uniformly the rest of  kadaif mixture over the cream.
Pre-heat oven to 180°C.
Bake for 15mn until golden brown.
Drizzle the prepared syrup over them & return to the oven for another 5 mn.
Set aside to cool.
Using a sharp knife/ steel rings cut konafa into desired shapes.
Decorate with chopped pistachios & serve your loved ones.
