Malabar Crab Curry

 Ingredients
 2 Rock crabs (cleaned & cracked)
* Masala*
 3 tbsp freshly grated coconut /dessicated coconut
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds
2 cardomom

2 cloves
A piece of cinnamon
3 black pepper corns

1/2 cinnamon + 2 cloves
2 onions (chopped)
A tomato(chopped)
A green chilli (half slit)
1 tsp ginger -garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Curry leaves
Oil for frying
Method
Dry roast all the masala ingredients & then grind to fine powder.
Heat oil in sauce pan with cinnamon,cloves & cardomom.
Then add chopped onions & fry till translucent.

 Add ginger- garlic paste along with green chilli & curry leaves.
Then add the masala powder & mix well. 
Add chopped tomatoes &  stir for another 2mn.
Add a cup of water , cover & cook for 5mn.
When done, add crab pieces & mix well.
Cover & cook for another 8mn.
When the crabs are cooked, remove from fire.
Garnish with curry leaves.
Serve with rice or any other Indian bread.
