An egg (optional)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp hing
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
1 cup gram flour
1/2 cup rice flour
Chopped curry leaves
Oil for frying
Peel,wash & slice tapioca using mandoline.
Beat an egg with chopped curryleaves.
Add both the flours (gram + rice) & mix well.
If the batter is thick add some water.
Keep aside for 15 min.
Add chilli powder, hing & cumin seeds.
Then add sliced tapioca.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Dip sliced tapioca in the batter & deep fry them.
U can prepare 4/5 vada's at the same time.
Cook both sides until golden brown.
Remove using a slotted spoon & drain on a kitchen paper.
Serve hot with tea or as a starter.
