Fried Prawns with Coconut - Andhra Special

Ingredients
500g  tiger prawns ( fresh/frozen)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp lemon juice

2 onions (chopped)
3 garlc cloves (minced)
A piece of ginger (minced)
2 green chillies (half slit)
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2tsp fennel seeds powder
1tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp grated coconut
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Curry leaves/ Coriander leaves
 Garam masala

 
Method
 
Shell, devein and wash prawns using salt and turmeric.
Marinate in  first three ingredients & keep in the refrigerator for 5 hours.
Heat oil in a sauce pan & fry onions to light golden brown.
Then add curry leaves , minced garlic, ginger & green chillies.
Then add coriander powder, fennel seeds powder , chilli & turmeric powder.
Fry for a while & then add a cup of water.
Cover & cook for a while.
Then add marinated prawns along with grated coconut.
 
 
When the prawns are cooked, remove from fire .
Garnish with garam masala & chopped coriander leaves.
  Serve with rice or any other Indian bread.feuille3
