10 Filo pastry
1cup melted butter
Whole almonds for decoration
150g almond powder
150g walnut powder
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp orange flower water
3 tbsp icing sugar

1 tsp cinnamon powder
An egg white (optional)
200g honey
3 tbsp orange water
Oil for frying
Mix the filling ingredients & keep aside for an hour.
Boil honey with orange water & make a syrup.

 Roll out the filo pastry on a greased tart tin.
Brush the surface with melted butter.
Top with 4 other filo pastries, each brushed with butter.
 Spread the prepared filling uniformly with a spatule & fold the edges.
Then top again with 4 other filo pastries, each brushed with butter.
Cut off the the edges using scissors .
With a sharp knife cut in to desired pattern & decorate with almonds.
Preheat oven to 180°C & bake 15-20 mn until golden brown.
Pour the prepared syrup over the  baklawa & return to the oven & bake for another 5 mn.
Drizzle the remaining syrup & set aside to cool.
