Cabbage- Carrot Thoran

1/2 cabbage thinly sliced
2 carrots( peel & thinly scraped)
2 tbsp dessicated coconut/ freshly grated coconut
2 green chillies (half slit)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt
2 onions thinly sliced
1 tbsp oil.
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urud dal seeds
1/2 glass water
Curry leaves
Mix the first six ingredients in a large bowl.
Heat oil in a skillet & add mustard seeds.
When it pops, add urud dal seeds.
When it turns light golden brown, add sliced onions.
When it turns light golden brown, add the cabbage mix.
Fry for 5 min & add water.
Cover & cook for another 5mn.
Garnish with curry leaves & serve with rice.
