Poppy Seed Cake
Ingredients
200g flour
200g corn flour
200g butter
150g sugar
A pinch of salt
5 eggs
80g black poppy seeds
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
In a bowl beat eggs.
Cream together the butter, sugar & salt .
Add beaten egg & mix well.
Sieve the flour and baking powder together and fold into the cake mixture.
Mix well & pour the batter into the greased cake pan.
Bake for 35- 40mn until risen & golden-brown.
Serve with tea.
