Torta all'arancia - Tuscan Orange Cake
Torta all'arancia
Ingredients
2eggs
150g sugar
1 packet (7 g) vanilla flavoured sugar (sucre vanillé)
A pinch of salt
250g flour
75g butter / 4 tbsp veg oil (melted)
2sp baking powder
Juice of an orange
Finely grated zest of an organic orange
50g icing sugar
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Beat eggs with sugar.
Add orange juice, zest , vanilla sugar & mix well.
Sieve the flour and baking powder together and fold into the cake mixture.
Add melted butter & mix well.
If the batter is thick , add some milk.
Pour the batter into the greased cake pan.
Bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean, about 20-25mn
Dust icing sugar & serve.
