Chicken Chaaps
Ingredients
6 chicken thighs (skinned & chopped)
A pinch of saffron (diluted in water)
2 tbsp gram flour (dry roasted)
2 onions( paste)
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp Kashmir chilli powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp sugar
1 cup curd
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

1 tbsp ghee + 2 tbsp oil (for frying)
1 tsp Kewra water
1/2 tsp garam masala
Coriander leaves (chopped)
Method
Dry roast gram flour & keep aside to cool ..
Blend chopped onions to a fine paste.
Blend ginger & garlic to a fine paste.
In a bowl, dilute saffon in water.
Mix all the ingretients without any lumps .
Marinate the chicken, cover & keep in the refrigerator for an hour.

Heat oil + ghee in a pan
Fry marinated chicken pieces to light golden brown
Turn over & fry the other side.
Then add the prepared marinade & stir.
Cover & cook on medium heat.
When cooked, add some kewra water.
Mix well & cook for another 5 mn.
Garnish garam masala. & coriander leaves.
Serve with rice.
