Tomato Chicken Curry
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Juice of a lemon
Salt to taste
3 big tomatoes(chopped)
A piece of ginger
3 garlic cloves
2 green chillies (half slit)
1 tsp tomato puree
1/2 tsp red chilli powder + 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
3 cardomom pods
Few curry leaves / Coriander leaves
Marinate chicken pieces with first four ingredients.
Cover & keep in the refrigerator for 2 hrs.
Heat oil in a pan & splutter mustard seeds.
Then fry onions to light golden brown.
Add green chillies , ginger+ garlic paste & few curry leaves.
Fry for a while & then add chilli powder,turmeric powder & tomato puree.
Then add marinated chicken pieces & mix .
Add water, cover & cook for a while.
When cooked, add crushed cardomom pods .
Garnish with coriander leaves & serve .
