Sardine  Bhajji

20 sardines (small)

1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 cup gram flour  
1/2 cup rice flour
An onion(chopped)
A green chilli (chopped)
A piece of ginger(chopped)
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
A pinch of hing
Salt to taste  
Chopped curry leaves / Coriander leaves
Oil for frying 

Prepare marinade with - chilli powder + turmeric powder + salt + ginger-garlic paste.

Cut, clean & then marinate sardines & keep in the refrigerator an hour.
Make a thick batter using other ingredients.
Heat oil in a  frying pan.
Dip marinated sardine  in the batter & deep fry them.
U can prepare 4/5 vada's  at the same time.
Cook both sides until golden brown.
Remove using a slotted spoon & drain on a kitchen paper.
Serve hot as a starter.
