2 carrots (Peel & scraped)
An onion (chopped)
A piece of ginger(chopped)
A green chilli (chopped)
2 cups angel hair pasta (Semiya)
An yogurt (125 g)
Salt to taste
Curry leaves (chopped)
Oil for frying
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seed
1 dried red chilli
1/2 tsp urad dal seeds
Peel & scrape carrots in a bowl.
Add chopped ginger, curry leaves & green chilli .
Mix it with whipped yogurt & salt . Keep aside .
Heat oil in a pan .
Splutter mustard seeds along with urad daal seeds.
Add curry leaves & dried chilli .
Add this to the carrots .
Heat some more oil in the same pan
Fry chopped onions to light golden brown .
Then add angel hair, fry for a while & transfer to a bowl.
Mix well so that the pasta is well mixed with carrots.
Cover & keep aside for 15mn.
Grease the Idli maker with oil & pour 1 tbsp of batter.
Steam cook for 10 mn.
Serve these spicy Semiya Idli's with chutney or any other dipping sauce.
