Ingredients
A chicken 
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Half cup curd
1 tbsp coriander powder

Juice of a lemon
Salt to taste
*Spices*
4 cloves

3 cardomom pods
5 star anise petals
5 black pepper corns

2 onions(chopped)
2 big tomatoes(chopped)
A piece of ginger
3 garlic cloves

2 green chillies (half slit)
1 tsp tomato puree
1/2 tsp red chilli powder + 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
*Garnish*
An onion (thinly sliced)
1tsp ghee + 1 tbsp oil 
Coriander leaves
Method
Marinate chicken pieces with  first six ingredients.
Cover & keep in the refrigerator for an hour.

Dry roast the spices & ground to fine powder.
Keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan & fry onions to light golden brown.
Add green chillies , ginger+ garlic paste & few curry leaves. 
Fry for a while & then add chilli powder,turmeric powder & tomato puree.
Then add marinated chicken pieces & mix.
Fry till chicken turns light brown.
Add water, cover & cook for a while.
When cooked, add ground spice mix.
Remove from fire

Heat oil & ghee in a pan .
Fry onions to light golden brown & add to the chicken curry
Garnish with coriander leaves & serve with rice / any type of bread.
