Pineapple Gojju


1 cup chopped pineapple

1/4  tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urud dal seeds
1 tsp channa dal seeds
1 dried red chilli
Curry leaves
1 green chilli(half slit)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp grated coconut
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
2 cubes jagerry
Lemon size tamarind pulp
Chop pineapple into small cubes.
Marinate it with salt & turmeric & keep aside.
Soak tamarind in water & keep aside for 10 min.
Extract the juice.
Heat oil in a sauce pan.
Splutter mustard seeds, dried chilli & curry leaves.
Then fry urud dal & channa dal to light golden brown.
Add marinated pineapple along with green chilli & fry again.
Add all the powders & stir so that all are well mixed.
Add tamarind extract &  jagerry.
Cover & cook on low fire for 10 min.
Then add grated coconut & stir .
When the sauce is reduced, remove from fire.
Garnish with cumin powder & fresh curry leaves .
Serve this tangy sauce with rice.
