Komban Ada - Malabar Muslim Special
Ingredients
2 cups roasted rice powder
2 tbsp flour
2 cups of water
1 tsp salt
Filling
250 g minced meat
1 tsp ginger -garlic paste
1 green chilli (chopped)
1 big onion(chopped)
1 big tomato (chopped)
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp fennel seeds powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste.
Coriander leaves.
*For frying*
1 tsp chilli powder
1/s tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Method
Boil water . Add salt .
Then add rice powder+ flour & mix with a wooden spatule .
Remove from fire & close with a lid.
Keep aside for 5 min.

Fry onions till light golden brown.
Add ginger- garlic paste ,chopped green chilli& fry again.
Then add chopped tomatoes & salt.
Fry for a while & then add the minced meat with all the masala powders.
Add some water, cover & cook.
Garnish with coriander leaves & keep aside.

Place a plastic cover / banana leaf on a plate.
Take a dough ball & flatten on it .
Spread the prepared filling in the middle & fold it.
Press the edges.
Carefully transfer the ada in a steamer.
Steam cook for 20 mn ( without plastic).

Make a spicy mixture using chilli powder,turmeric powder, garam masala & salt.
Dip the prepared ada's in this spicy mixture & fry.
Serve this spicy snack for tea or as a starter.
