1 cup white rice (sona masoori)
1 cup freshly grated coconut
1/4 cup urad dal
2 tbsp channa dal
2 tbsp split green gram (cherupayar parippu)
1 tsp coriander seeds
2 red chillies (dried)
1 cup water
2 cups chopped cabbage
An onion (chopped)
2 green chillies (chopped)
Few curry leaves / coriander leaves(chopped)
1 tsp cumin seeds
A pinch of hing
1 yogurt(125 g)
Salt to taste
Wash & soak rice for 4 hours.
Wash & soak all the dal in another bowl (4 hours).
First blend rice & coconut to a fine paste.
Transfer it in to a mixing bowl.
Then blend all the dal's with coriander seeds & red chillies.
Mix it with the blended rice & then add whipped yogurt.
Mix, cover & keep aside for an hour.
Add all the chopped vegetables along with a pinch of hing & cumin.
If the batter is thick add some more water.
Heat a nonstick pan / griddle with little oil.
Pour a ladle of batter & spread carefully.
Flip & cook the other side
Serve hot with veg / non -veg curry.
