4 eggs
100g almond powder
4  tbsp corn flour

70g butter (melted)
200g sugar
1 tsp baking powder
200g dates (pitted & chopped)
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp orange flavoured liquor
A pinch of salt

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Melt butter in a microwave oven.
Cream together the butter, sugar & salt. Add beaten egg.
Sieve the corn flour and baking powder together and fold into the cake mixture. 
Then add almond powder along with  vanilla essence &  orange liquor.
Mix well & pour the batter into the greased cake pan.
Bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean, about 30-35mn.
Serve Djamilah cake  with tea.
