4 finely sliced onions
1 tsp chilli powder
1 egg (optional)
A greenchilli (chopped)
1 tsp ginger paste / chopped ginger
3 tbsp buckwheat flour(Kuttu Ka Aatta)
1 tbsp rice flour
Curry leaves / coriander leaves ( chopped)
Salt to taste
A pinch of hing
Oil for frying
Mix first five ingredients & keep aside for some time.
Add the gram flour & mix.
If the batter is thick add some water.
Keep aside for 15 min.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Pour 1 tbsp full of the batter.
U can prepare 4/5 vada's at the same time .
Cook both sides of the vada until golden brown.
Remove using a slotted spoon & drain on a kitchen paper.
Serve hot with tea or as a starter.
