Irani Pola - Malabar Beef Pie

Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 cups milk
4 eggs
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp fennel seeds
2 green chillies (cut in coins)

2 carrots ( cut in coins & blanched) 
Coriander leaves (chopped)
Salt to taste 
**Meat Layer**
250g hamburger meat

2 big onions (chopped)
2 cloves of garlic(chopped)
A piece of ginger (chopped)
1 tsp coriander powder
1tsp red chillipowder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp organic tomato puree
Salt to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
Ground black pepper
Coiander leaves
Few mint leaves

Oil for frying
 Method
Heat  oil in a pan & fry onions to light golden brown.
Add chopped garlic & ginger.
Then add coriander powder, turmeic powder & chilli powder.
Mix well & then add minced meat along with tomato sauce.
Add some water & cook for 10 min.
When the sauce leaves the sides of the pan, remove from fire;
Garnish with coriander leaves & keep aside.

Peel carrots & cut  in coins.
Boil in water for just 3mn & drain.
Beat eggs with chilli, salt & fennel seeds.
Add milk & mix well. 
Then add flour & mix well without any lumps;
Add the blanched carrots & chopped coriander leaves.

Pre heat oven to 180°C.
Pour half of the batter in agreased cake tin & cook for 5 mn;
Remove from the oven & spread the prepared beef uniformly.
Then pour the rest of the batter over the beef;
Retun to the oven & cook for another 10 mn.
Serve hot .
