Green Asparagus Dal Curry
Ingredients
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 green chillies (half slit)
An onion (sliced)
A carrot (cubed)
A tomato (chopped)
5 green asparagus (chopped)
1 cup toor dal (tuvara parippu)
1/2 cup red dal
*Temper *
3 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2 garlic cloves (chopped)
2 shallots (sliced)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Few curry leaves

Coriander leaves
A pinch of cumin powder
Method
Pressure cook first nine ingredients with some water.

Heat oil in a pan & add mustard seeds.
Then add garlic;
When it turns light brown add shallots & curry leaves.
Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder & coriander powder
Add this to the prepared dal curry & mix well
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves & cumin powder.
Serve with rice.
