Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park.

Athabasca Falls Athabasca Falls is in Jasper National Park.  Athabasca River thunders into a 23m height water fall. It's quite spectacular to see the  quantity of water that gushes over a narrow gorge.  There are short trails to explore this nature's wonder from all sides.

Blackberry Clafouti - French Custurd Cake.

Clafoutis aux mûres Ingredients500g blackberries 3 eggs50g flour50g almond powder100g sugar1/2 tsp vanilla essence25 cl liquid cream / milk 20g butter1/2 tsp ground cinnamon1 tbsp sugar Method. Preheat oven 180°C.Warm milk with butter & keep aside.. Beat eggs. Add flour, almond powder & sugar. Pour cream into the prepared mixture. ixture. Lefse - Norwegian Potato bread

Lefse Ingredients400g potatoes (4 mashed / riced potatoes)40ml milk / cream20g butter200g flourSalt to tasteMethod Mix all the ingredients & keep aside for one hour.Make evenly sized balls. Take a lemon sized ball & roll out into paper thin Lefse Heat non stick pan . Spread oil on it .Cook the roll out lefse.Spread some oil & press the edges.Flip & cook the other side.Repeat the process with other balls. Serve hot with veg / non veg curry.

Alpine Meadows of the Canadian Rockies

Alpine Meadows of the Canadian RockiesIn Summer , the land just below the high peaks are home to spectacular alpine meadows.  Yellow Avalanche or  Glacier Lilies burst into bloom  until mid July. Later the meadows are carpeted with Indian paint brush, Alpine Daisies, Lupins, Horsehairs, Columbines, Fireweeds, Alpine Sunflower and many other wild flowers. The mountain sides covered with these multicoloured flowers are really impressive.

Canada Day.

    On July 1st, Canadians celebrate their "Canada Day". I was lucky to be there for their  141 st anniversary of Cofederation.  It's far different from French National Day / Indian Independace Day. Canada Day is celebrated with family picnics, BBQ's, parades & music. Festivities ends with traditional fireworks.  I admire the national spirit of Canadians . Parc Meissonier This public park is situated in Poissy - Yvelines.It was a private property of Mr Ernest Meissonier.After his death, it was handed over to the municipality of Poissy.
