Jack- Tapioca pearl payasam

Chakka - Sago Pradhaman Ingredients1/2 cup sago1 cup chopped jackfruit 8 cubes of jagerry2 cups of coconut milkA pinch of salt1/4 tsp cardomom powderRaisins & CashewsGheeMethodGently heat jaggery & water to make a thick syrup.Strain it & keep aside.Roast Sago in  ghee.Stir in water & cook  until it becomes trasparent.Then add chopped jack fruit. Happy Vishu

Happy Vishu Vishu is an important festival of Kerala which  falls on April 14th. It's the Malayalees New year.At dawn , elderly lady of the family prepares "Vishukani". She arranges silk, coins, gold, rice grains,9 grains called "navadanyam',coconut, arecanut, seasonal fruits & vegetables of Kerala along with yellow konna flowers & betal leaves. Neyyappam for Vishu

Neyyappam Ingredients250g rice powder250g jaggery3 tbsp water1 cup mashed  bananas 2 tbsp flour1 tbsp black sesame seeds2 tbsp chopped coconut 1/2 tsp cardomom powder A pinch of baking powderOil for frying (In kerala we use coconut oil)MethodGently heat jaggery & water to make a thick syrup.Strain it & keep aside. Chocolate Cake

Chocolate CakeIngredients125 g flour125 g sugar125 g butter3 eggs3 tsp baking powder200 g black chocolate 2 tbsp waterGlaçage120 g chocolate, 3 tbsp water30 g butter2 tbsp icing sugar  Method Break the chocolate bar & add 2 tbsp water.Melt in microwave oven 2 mn.Abb butter & mix well.In another bowl beat eggs & sugar.Sieve the flour and baking powder together and fold into the cake mixture.Add chocolate butter mixture & mix well. Tomato - Onion Chutney

    Tomato Onion Chutney Ingredients250g cherry tomatoes (chopped)5 shallots (chopped)1 tsp chilli powder1/4 tsp turmeric powder1 tsp musturd seeds1 tsp urud dal seedsCurry leaves / coriander leavesA pinch of asafoetida1 tsp honeySalt to tasteMethod Heat oil in a pan. Onion- Semolina Pancake

Onion-Rava Dosa   Ingredients 1 cup wheat flour1 cup semolina3 cups water1 egg2 shallots finely choppedA piece of ginger(chopped)1 green chilli( chopped)Chopped curry leavesSalt to taste Method   Beat an egg with shallots,chilli, ginger,curry leaves & salt.Then mix it with the rest of the ingredients & keep aside for half an hour.Batter must be in semi liquid stage. Steamed Jackfruit Cake

Chakka AdaIngredients 2 cups rice powder  1 cup of coconut milk1 cup mashed jackfruit2 tbsp freshly grated coconut/ dessicated coconut3 tbsp sugar  / 5 jaggery cubesRaisins & chopped cashews1/2 tsp cardomom powderA pinch of saltMethod Blend pitted jackfruit into a fine paste.If the jackfruit is not that ripe, cook for 5mn in water & then blend.Mix all the ingredients & keep aside for sometime. Carrot-Pudina ParathaIngredients 4 carrots2 green chilliesA piece of gingerHandfull of mint leaves500 g flour250 ml luke warm water1 tsp saltOil Method Blend first four ingredients in a mixer & add to the flour.Mix all the other ingredients & keep aside for 2/3 hours.Make evenly sized balls. Auteuil Steeplechase Racecourse.

Hippodrome d'AuteuilFor Easter, Hippodrome d'Auteuil was opened to public.They offered several activities for kids - Pony Riding, Egg hunt & Merry- Go-Ground. Wow! I saw horse racing  for the first time in my life. At the final lap, crazy public were shouting "Allez -- Allez".Funny indeed to see a  man with an oxygen cylinder queuing up to bet.Hippodrome d'Auteuil is the sole steeple-chase racecourse in Paris.
