Paal Kozhukkattai - Chettinad Special for Ganesh Chathurthi

 Paal Kozhukkattai Ingredients5 tbsp rice flour1 cup water + 1/2cup of coconut milkA pinch of salt1 tbsp ghee***4 cubes of jagerry1 1/2cup of coconut milk / milk A pinch of salt1/4 tsp cardomom powderGheeHalf cup freshly grated coconutRaisins & cashews (optional)MethodBoil water + coconut milk in a thick bottomed pan. 9/11 Memorial, NY

9/11 Memorial   Today marks the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which killed 2977 people in the US. The 9/11 Memorial  is located in the lower Manhattan, at the same place where the Twin Towers collapsed. The Memorial Architect Michael Arad created two black granite craters, 30 feet down at the foot prints of the destroyed Twin Towers. Pazha & Kadala Parippu Payasam

Pazham & Kadala Parippu Payasam Ingredients 1/2 cup kadala parippu (Splitted Bengal Gram)2 cloves2 plantains (half ripe) 1 tbsp rice flour6 cubes of jagerry 2 cups of coconut milkA pinch of salt1/4 tsp cardomom powder1/4 tsp ginger powderMethodWash & cook gram. Peel the plantains & cut in chunks.Cook in a cup of water with cloves.
