Urad Dal Poori - North Indian Street Food

Urad Dal Poori Ingredients350 g flour150g urad dal powder (Black lentil powder)2 tsp kalonji seeds(nigella)1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)1 tsp salt 250 ml water Oil for frying Method Mix first five ingredients.Mix with water to get a stiff dough. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth & keep aside for an hour. Sweet potato crumpets

Sweet Potato Crumpets IngredientsHalf of a sweet potato(small)1 cup milk + 1 cup water1/4 tsp nutmeg powder***300g flour3 eggs (beaten)1tsp salt250ml water125ml luke warm milk5g fresh yeastMethodWash , peel & cut sweet potato in cubes.Cook it in a milk & water.When cooked, mash it in a blender & add nutmeg powder. Traditional British Crumpets

Crumpets Ingredients300g flour2 eggs (beaten)1tsp salt250ml water125ml luke warm milk5g fresh yeastMethodDilute yeast in luke warm milk. Keep aside for 10mn.Mix first four ingredients (without any lumps) in a bowl .Add milk & stir again. Keep aside for half an hour.Heat a nonstick pan / griddle with little oil.
