Mdardara - Lebanese Rice.

MdardaraIngredients3  cups cooked Basmati rice1 cup cooked brown lentils5 scallions (chopped)A pinch of saffron / 1/2 tsp turmeric powder1 tsp ground pepperSalt to tasteCoriander leaves2 tbsp ghee / oil Garam Masala (optional)MethodHeat the oil/ ghee in a frying pan. Add the chopped scallions & fry till light golden brown.Then add cooked lentils & stir.Dilute saffron in water & add to the lentils.Cover & cook for a while.Garnish with ground pepper.Then add cooked  rice & toss gently.Garnish with coriander...
