Ragi Appam

Ragi Appam   Ingredients1 cup white rice / basmati1 cup cooked rice1 cup ragi2 cups freshly grated coconut10 g fresh yeast 1 tsp sugar Salt to tasteMethodSoak rice & ragi in water in separate bowl.Leave aside for 5 hours.Dilute yeast in luke warm water with 1 tsp sugar . Blend the soaked rice & ragi to a fine paste & transfer to a bowl.Then blend cooked rice & coconut together.Add this to the blended rice+ ragi.Then add diluted yeast & mix well.Keep aside for 2 hours in a warm placeIf the batter is thick add... Ragi appam    Ingredients4 cubes of jagerry3 bananas (mashed)1 cup ragi powder (finger millet powder )1/2 cup flour 1 cup freshly grated coconut1 tbsp poppy seeds (dry roasted)A pinch of salt 1/4 tsp baking powder1/4 tsp cardomom powderOil for frying MethodGently heat jaggery & water to make a thick syrup.Strain it & add to the mashed bananas.Mix all the other ingredients to get a semi - thick dough.Cover & set aside for 20 mn. If the mixture is thick, add some water.***Heat oil in...
