Chicken Pepper Fry
Ingredients
A chicken
1tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Juice of a lemon
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

2 shallots (chopped)
A piece of ginger (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (chopped)
A green chilli (half slit)
2 onions (chopped)
2 tomatoes (chopped) / 2 tsp tomato puree
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp fennel powder
Salt to taste

1 tsp garam masala
Freshly ground pepper
Few curry leaves / Coriander leaves
Method
Marinate chicken pieces with first five ingredients.
Cover & keep in the refrigerator for 3 hrs.
Fry them to light golden brown & keep aside.

Coarsely grind shallots, green chilli, ginger & garlic.
Heat oil in a pan & fry onions to light golden brown.
Add blended mixture & fry again .
Add coriander powder, fennel powder & chilli powder.
Then add chopped tomatoes & fry .
When mashed, Then add fried chicken pieces & stir .
Add water , cover & cook for a while.
When the sauce is thick, remove from fire .
Add garam masala & freshly ground pepper.
Garnish with fresh curry leaves & serve .
