Ingredients
1 cup toor dal (tuvara parippu)
1 tsp cumin seeds 
*Blend*
1 cup freshly grated cococnut
11/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder 
*Temper *
1 tsp mustard seeds
A pinch of hing 
Few curry leaves 
A tomato (chopped)
***
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1 tsp salt
Coriander leaves
A pinch of cumin powder
Oil for frying

Method
Blend coconut with coriander powder & red chilli powder.

Pressure cook dal with cumin seeds.
When cooked add turmeric powder & salt.
Add the blended paste to the cooked dal.
Mix well & cook for 2 mn.

Heat oil in a pan & splutter mustard seeds.
Add hing along with tomatoes & curry leaves.
Add this to the prepared dal curry & mix well 
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves & cumin powder.
Serve with rice.
