Torta Margherita - Italian Margherita Cake
Ingredients
90g flour
50g cornflour
90g butter (melted)
150g sugar
3 eggs (beaten)
A pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
Icing sugar for dusting
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
In a bowl beat eggs.
Cream together the sugar & salt .
Add beaten eggs & mix well.
Sieve both flours and baking powder together and fold into the cake mixture.
Add vanilla essence & mix well..
Pour the batter into the greased bundt tin.
Bake for 25-30 mn until risen.
Just dust the cake with icing sugar & serve with tea.
