Chocolate Chestnut Cake
Ingredients
4 tbsp unsweetened chestnut purée
125 black chocolate
125g butter
125g sugar
75g flour
2 eggs
A pinch of salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
Chopped walnuts if needed.
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Break the chocolate bar & add 2 tbsp water.
Melt in microwave oven 2 mn.
Add chopped butter & mix well.
Cream together sugar, purée & salt on medium speed with a paddle attachment.
Add beaten eggs.
Sieve the flour and baking powder together and fold into the cake mixture.
Add the cinnamon powder & chopped nuts.
Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and place in the oven.
Bake until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean(25 mn).
Decorate with chocolate shavings & glazed chest nuts.
