Daikon Radish Puttu
Ingredients
Half of a daikon radish( white radish)
A piece of ginger
A green chilli
Curry leaves(chopped)
2 tbsp grated coconut
Salt to taste

2 cups roasted rice flour
1/2 cup semolina
1 cup grated coconut
1/2 tsp salt
Coconut for layering(optional)
Chopped curry leaves
Method
Coarsely grind first six ingredients & keep aside.
Dilute salt in water.
Take rice powder in a bowl.
Add the blended mixture & mix with fingers so that it look like bread crumbs.
Daikon radish contains water - so add water only if needed.
Mix well & keep aside.

Boil some water in the bottom vessel of the Puttu maker.
Put 1tbsp coconut in the botom of the puttu mould.
Then fill it with rice + radish mix.
Layer coconut & rice+ raddish mix alternatively.
Fix the puttu mould on the vessel & cook for 10 mn.
Serve with black Channa dal curry / Stew.
