Tunnbröd - Swedish Rye Bread
Tunnbröd
Ingredients
350g whole wheat flour (Rye flour)
150g flour
15g fresh yeast (1 tsp dried yeast)
1 tsp sugar
200 ml luke warm water
100g thick cream
Oil for frying
Method
Dilute yeast in luke warm water with 1 tsp sugar.
Set aside for 15 minuites.
Mix all the ingredients & knead well.
Cover the bowl with a cloth & leave for an hour, until it's doubled.
Spray some more flour & knead it again & make lemon sized balls.
Roll out into round shaped flat bread.(thickness- 5mm)
Prick all over the bread with a fork(as in the pic).
Cover the roll out flat bread for 20mn.
Heat a non stick pan & just smear some oil.
Cook the roll out tunnbröd.
When it turns brown, brush oil, flip & cook the otherside.
Repeat the same with other dough balls.
Serve tunnbröd with meat ball curry.
